Concrete Pumping Operators

new standards and credential development

Have your say!

We are supporting the concrete industry by developing new standards and a new qualification.

We would like your thoughts on the development of new standards recognising Concrete Pump Operation.

Concrete Pumping Machinery Operators must have sufficient training to be able to operate high-risk machinery safely. Recent updates to regulations require employers to provide adequate training to meet these regulatory requirements. The New Zealand Concrete Contractors Association, BCITO | Te Pūkenga and industry representatives are working with Waihanga Ara Rau to identify the skill and knowledge needs for this new credential.

Reason for development and how to give your feedback.

Concrete Pump Operation is not currently formally recognised. High risk machinery operators’ safety guidelines are under review, the development of these standards will ensure the Concrete Pumping Industry have a mechanism to train and recognise high risk machinery operators.

We want to hear from you.
