The Waihanga Ara Rau Workforce Development Council will be closing operations from 19 December, and disestablished from 31 December 2025. The Energy and Infrastructure Industry Skills Board; Construction and Specialist Trades Industry Skills Board; Electrotechnology and Information Technology Industry Skills Board will pick up its functions.

qualifications and unit standards review

We are pleased to announce the completion of the Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 Rigging Qualification Review. The updated qualifications are supported by a suite of new skill standards.

Waihanga Ara Rau would like to thank the technical advisory group who has contributed their time and expertise to help support the review and shape the Rigging credentials.

The unit standards will expire on 31 December 2027.
