Review of The New Zealand Certificate in Civil Infrastructure Bituminous Product Manufacturing (Level 4) (Credits 120) [Ref: 4191]

We want to hear from you!

The New Zealand Certificate in Civil Infrastructure Bituminous Product Manufacturing (Level 4) (Credits 120) [Ref: 4191] scheduled five-year review is underway.

The qualification was developed in 2019 for people who work in bitumen and asphalt product manufacturing plants as experienced and competent operators. They work unsupervised, coordinating site operations and contributing to the health and safety of the plant and personnel.

Waihanga Ara Rau, the Construction and Infrastructure Workforce Development Council, would like to find out if this qualification is still required as there have been no graduates.

Qualification demand

Before we decide to expire the qualification, we want to seek confirmation of the next steps from those within the bitumen and asphalt product manufacturing industry.
