The Waihanga Ara Rau Workforce Development Council will be closing operations from 19 December, and disestablished from 31 December 2025. The Energy and Infrastructure Industry Skills Board; Construction and Specialist Trades Industry Skills Board; Electrotechnology and Information Technology Industry Skills Board will pick up its functions.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed their time and expertise through online TAG sessions, emails, phone calls and other feedback.

Both sustainability micro-credentials have now been approved:

Reduce material waste in a construction environment – Level 2, 3 credits
Contribute to sustainable practices in a construction environment – Level 4, 10 credits
