Goodbye from the team

Read some of the messages from our kaimahi.

One of the better kept secrets is that being a Qualification Developer is an incredibly fun job!

The number one reason for that is the PEOPLE. Who doesn’t want to spend their time with people who love what they do and want to make a difference? We are always in awe of the level of commitment and passion that we get to see and it is a privilege to play our part (and to learn all of your acronyms).

Thank you for everything you’ve taught us, for trusting us and for letting us into your world.

We look forward to seeing how our work together makes a difference for industry and learners, and to seeing what comes next.

On behalf of the Strategy and Engagement team we wanted to thank all of you for trusting us with your voice so that we could make a difference for the construction and infrastructure sector.  We hope that we have honoured this through our mahi whether it has been the advice we have given to TEC, in the projects that we have undertaken on behalf of industry, in the workforce planning and through our engagements.

He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata!
What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people!

We have kept this proverb close to our mahi in the hope that we have made a difference for the industry and future learners.

Wishing you and the sector all the very best in 2026 and beyond.

Infrastructure Assurance Team

As we wrap up the year, the Infrastructure Assurance Team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our providers for your partnership and dedication over the last four years. Your commitment to quality education, your openness to collaboration, and your ongoing efforts to strengthen assessment practice have been central to the progress we’ve made together.

The relationships built and strengthened during this time have been a genuine highlight for our team. It has been a privilege working alongside you — supporting assurance practices, sharing insights, and navigating challenges together. We truly value the trust you’ve placed in us.

Wishing you all a restful break, a safe holiday season, and a positive start to the new year.

Rachelle, Kashif, Reena, Stephen, Jeremy and Imi.

From day one through to the end, it has been a privilege to work alongside you. Thank you for your support and mahi. Wishing you continued success. Nga mihi nui, Sue Hawkins.
