The Waihanga Ara Rau Workforce Development Council will be closing operations from 19 December, and disestablished from 31 December 2025. The Energy and Infrastructure Industry Skills Board; Construction and Specialist Trades Industry Skills Board; Electrotechnology and Information Technology Industry Skills Board will pick up its functions.

Qualification Review

We are pleased to announce the completion of the qualification review for the New Zealand Certificate in Concrete Production (Level 4) with strands in Batching, Dispatching, and Concrete Testing (with optional strand in Tensile Testing) [Ref: 4187], listed in April 2025.

Waihanga Ara Rau thanks representatives from Te Pūkenga Work Based Learning: BCITO Business Division and the concrete industry who supported the review and gave feedback.

Project outcomes

As a result of this project, version two of this qualification is listed on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF). View the Qualification Overview.

Minor changes to the qualification specifications and transition information were made to amend the general conditions and to reflect changes to dates and version.
