Waihanga Ara Rau worked closely with a dedicated group of industry representatives from the New Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association (NZDAA), demolition companies, LINZ, WorkSafe, and training providers to develop this first step in a new demolition training pathway.
The New Zealand Certificate in Demolition (Level 3) recognises the knowledge and skills required of people new to the industry.
This qualification and five new skill standards are now available for training providers to use, and we will be excited to see programmes leading to this qualification implemented across the country.
