The Waihanga Ara Rau Workforce Development Council will be closing operations from 19 December, and disestablished from 31 December 2025. The Energy and Infrastructure Industry Skills Board; Construction and Specialist Trades Industry Skills Board; Electrotechnology and Information Technology Industry Skills Board will pick up its functions.

Summary of Changes

  • The review resulted in the development of two new telehandler unit standards 33425 and 33426 to meet the skill needs identified by industry for the operation of telehandlers with stabilisers and rotating telehandlers.
  • The 2 new telehandler unit standards (33425 and 33426) and the reviewed versions of standards 23637 and 31245 will be published in the NZQA website shortly
