A big mihi to industry and providers, who have helped to develop a Trades Essentials micro-credential. Waihanga Ara Rau and Hanga-Aro-Rau are pleased to announce that this new micro-credential is now live on the NZQCF.

The purpose of this micro-credential is to provide introductory skills and workforce needs for people preparing to enter either construction or engineering trades.

Key learning in this micro-credential includes:

• Interpersonal skills for the trades
• Rights and responsibilities of an employee working in the trades
• Personal development for construction and engineering trades
• Practical trades toolkit (including Health & Safety)
