Qualification review and skill standard development

A review of the New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply (Traction Line) (Level 4) [Ref: 3988] has been completed and was submitted to NZQA for approval in December 2025.

This project transitioned to the Energy and Infrastructure Industry Skills Board to respond to any requests for further information and update stakeholders.

A group of industry experts and provider representatives provided detailed input as part of our Technical Advisory Group (TAG).

As part of this project, we also developed skill standards to replace the unit standard suite US 31965 – 31972.
