What’s happening in Structural Detailing?

Waihanga Ara Rau is getting to the end of a significant project to develop skill standards and micro-credentials that will support a structured programme of learning leading to the New Zealand Diploma in Detailing (Structural) Level 5 [Ref: 4515].

Contribution from industry

This project has involved a committed industry group with broad representation across four sectors of structural component manufacture – Light Steel, Heavy Steel, Precast Concrete and Steel for reinforcement. Waihanga Ara Rau has valued the continued involvement of these representatives and looks forward to seeing a programme developed and launched for this sector in 2025.

NZQA’s evaluation of the final set of skill standards and micro-credential will take place early in 2025.
