The Waihanga Ara Rau Workforce Development Council will be closing operations from 19 December, and disestablished from 31 December 2025. The Energy and Infrastructure Industry Skills Board; Construction and Specialist Trades Industry Skills Board; Electrotechnology and Information Technology Industry Skills Board will pick up its functions.

Qualification review and skill standard development

A review of the Level 3 Traffic Incident Management Certificate qualification has been completed and submitted to NZQA for approval in October 2025. The project also included the development of skill standards and Programme Guidance for providers.

This project transitioned to the Energy and Infrastructure Industry Skills Board to respond to any requests for further information and update stakeholders.
