Waihanga Ara Rau is pleased to announce the development of two micro-credentials designed to support the mathematics skills of learners who want to begin a career pathway into engineering. These micro-credentials were submitted to NZQA for approval in May 2025.
Open Polytechnic Kuratini Tuwhera has identified that some learners would benefit from building foundational mathematics skills and knowledge before beginning study in an engineering context. The micro-credentials, one at Level 3 and one at Level 4, are based on proven learning outcomes to build confidence in mathematics for learners intending to pathway into engineering.
