Waihanga Ara Rau is responding to industry needs and is developing a new qualification in swimming pool building.
The qualification will recognise trade competence for building and installing swimming pools, with a focus on domestic/residential swimming pools.
It may also include installation of different types of pools, such as:
An NZ qualification for swimming pool building would enhance industry reputation and support employee retention by providing clear career pathways. The formal qualification would ensure a consistent level of expertise, improve service quality, and create a more attractive and sustainable industry for current and future employees.
This will lead to end-users gaining more trust and respect for the quality of delivery from swimming pool builders.
We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate and experienced individuals to join a working group to help shape the development of this new swimming pool building qualification. This is an opportunity to contribute your industry knowledge and expertise to ensure the qualification reflects current best practice, safety standards, and workforce needs.
