About the Electrotechnology Strategic Reference Group (SRG)

The Electrotechnology SRG represents a range of industries in New Zealand:

  • Electrical engineering
  • Electronic engineering
  • Electronic security
  • Electronics engineering technician
  • Industrial measurement and control
  • Marine electrical
  • Radio transmission
  • Structured data
  • Telecommunications.

The Electrotechnology SRG currently has 16 members, including experienced people representing the industry, regulator, industry associations, education providers, and Waihanga Ara Rau.

Strategic priorities of the SRG currently include:

  • Current qualifications/pathways
  • Completion of a Workforce Development Plan for the sector.
